Ambassador Yang Youming Meets with the Secondary School Students of Trinidad and Tobago

H.E. Ambassador Yang Youming warmly met with a group of students from St. Joseph's Convent School of Trinidad and Tobago at his Residence on June 22, 2010. The students were selected to participate in a study program in China organized by the Global Young Leaders Conference 2010(GYLC 2010).
Ambassador Yang talked to the students about China's political system, economic development, culture, history, geography and especially about the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou which the students were scheduled to visit. Ambassador Yang told the students that China and Trinidad and Tobago have enjoyed smooth development of the friendly relations and increased exchanges between the two peoples since the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between the two countries . He encouraged the students to take the opportunity to get to know more about China and to share their experience with other people when they return and wished them to be young ambassadors of friendship between the two countries. The students expressed their excitement over their upcoming visit to China and participation in the GYL 2010 program and they would be pleased to play their part in the promotion of the youth exchanges and friendship between the two countries. The students' trip will be sponsored by the Shanghai Construction Group in Trinidad and Tobago. The company has provided such sponsorship to the secondary school students in Trinidad and Tobago for the past few years.
