On August 18, 2009, visiting Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Jinzhang met with Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the great success of the first China-Mexico strategic dialogue, agreeing that both countries should continue dialogue and coordination and push bilateral strategic partnership to one new level after another.
