Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Meets with Outgoing Sierra Leone Ambassador to China

On May 28, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met in the Foreign Ministry with outgoing Sierra Leone Ambassador to China Abdul Karim Koroma. Zhai said in recent years, China-Sierra Leone relations have been developing rapidly with frequent high-level exchanges and fruitful cooperation in all areas. China cherishes the traditional friendship with Sierra Leone and is ready to work with it to deepen traditional friendship, expand pragmatic cooperation and push forward the friendly cooperative relations between the two countries.

Koroma said during his two-year term in China, he keenly felt the profound friendship of the Chinese people towards the Sierra Leone people and witnessed the disinterested help offered by China for Sierra Leone’s peaceful reconstruction. Koroma said maintaining sound relations with China is crucial for his country’s development and the Sierra Leone government will continue to adhere to the one-China policy and welcomes more Chinese businesses to invest in the country.
